I am sooo behind on this. I still have a Forever Watch list to finish! I just got married, moved across the country, started a new job, and have been working tirelessly at said new job. I still want to be a part of this though! It's not too late, right? Not until the next birthday at least. Haha.

Ok, here we go...

How long have you been on DeviantArt?

Over ten years now! Woo! A freaking decade! That's about a third of my life... ABOUT. lol

What does your username mean?

I have always struggled with usernames ever since the beginning of the internet. Right now it is pretty simple: my God-given name.
Earlier it was akaneo16. I was nicknamed 'Neo' going through school because of my love for The Matrix and awesome long, black trench coats I would make. the number indicated my age at the time of creation. I used this method for many other accounts like google (akaneo15) and youtube (akaneo17) which still exist today.

Describe yourself in three words.

Creative. Goofy. Fun.

Are you left or right handed?

Right-o.

What was your first deviation?

I actually came to my senses when deleting a lot of my deviations and didn't delete the first one! I'm so proud of my past self n_n

Back when I was doing comic strips in class. Good memories of escape and procrastination :)

What is your favourite type of art to create?

Films. I love to tell stories and engage in an audience's emotions. Editing films/videos satisfies that craving. Haha.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Digital illustrating. Specifically color. Blending and all that. Wish I had the time to sit down and really dive into it.

What was your first favourite?

Intriguing question... I'm really curious!
Looks like it was "Raise your flag" by an old friend from high school AmokMyth
'Raise your flag' by AmokMyth
Hmm... I was a different person. lol

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?

Digital art. Portraits. Maybe some original speed paints. I love people's original work. Gives me the sense that not all has been created or seen yet. I like seeing into other people's minds.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

Hm... That's a presumptuous question. I hate regarding artists 'better' over others. I admit, I like other work more than some, but there's just no way I can have a favorite. Just impossible.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

Well, I've already met so many amazing artists/people... and I'm not really one to go seek out someone I look up to. If I happen to be on their path one day, I would rather have a meaningful conversation with them about their life, approach on art, and the reason why they are doing what they are doing. All things I believe really speak heavily on who someone is and where they will go. It certainly puts a much more personalized touch on their art as well. As though I'm experiencing their work the way they meant it to be. Of course, not all art is like that, or is suppose to be. I'm just saying I would love to get to know the artists on a personal level.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?

It's interesting meeting other artists and then having them smash these preconceived views and stereotypes to pieces. They become passionate people who have a lot to say. They share so much enthusiasm about what they're into and manifest it into their work. I've been opened to different kinds of thinking and approach because of these people. One person that comes to mind is WolfyTook

What are your preferred tools to create art?

I will always be in love with a simple pencil and paper. Even pens and markers. Traditional mediums have been a part of my entire life. But I tend to work a lot on my computer, using a wacom tablet and other programs to create a desired piece.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

Somewhere quiet with some calm music with no lyrics. No distractions. Just me and my imagination and whatever medium I am working on. I also love working in a room with other artists. It's calm and relaxing. Kind of like a library. People are just there doing the same thing you are: reading. I find having other people working on their pieces around me (quietly like a library) is soothing and somehow puts me in a place to work more. Sounds like I need a Zen garden in my backyard... lol

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

The first devMEET in Echo Park was really cool. I got to put faces to the website that I grew so fond of and basically can't live without! Met new artists (to me) and connected to everybody in one way or another. Every devMEET after that only got more and more exciting. Seeing familiar faces and making new friends each time. I dread the day when Heidi or spyed and all the other dA peeps are so bombarded by crowds that I don't get to see them and talk with them. Haha.

Bonus memories!

Oh my... that one time I moved and while waiting for internet in the new place I found out through twitter from Echostar08 that one of my pieces received a DD! It was funny to me that out of all the digital work I've done, a painted sweatshirt was chosen. Haha. Not even my forte! But it was really cool nonetheless :)
